Welcome back to our top ten most subscribed YouTube channels list for the month of August! We are here to catch you up on the rankings for the most subscribed channels to make sure you are in the know. These top ten most subscribed YouTube channels have a wide variety of content and a little something for everyone from professional gaming to nursery rhymes. Enjoy as we explore the content of the world’s most famous YouTube stars and what genre of entertainment has taken them to this level.

1. T-Series

T-Series is a music record label and film production company that was started in 1983 by Gulshan Kumar. Primarily known for its Bollywood style productions and Indian pop-music, T-Series is the single largest music producing company in India. But, it wasn’t always a success story for T-Series and Gulshan Kumar. Gulshan started pirating Bollywood films and music as a young man and has a passion for consumer demand. Now, the company is run by Gulshan’s two sons, Krishan and Bhushan Kumar, who have taken the record label to new heights with almost 75 billion views on YouTube alone and have dethroned PewDiePie as the most subscribed YouTube channel of all time.

2. PewDiePie

PewDiePie and the “Bro Army” come in our number two spot just being beaten out by T-Series this month. PewDiePie is the most popular video game influencer in the world and provides comedic coverage of the newest games on the market. A Swedish national, PewDiePie grew up in Gothenburg and is currently engaged to Marzia Bisogin. PewDiePie began his popularity playing famous RPG and simulator games as well as cult horror games. PewDiePie originally pursued a degree in industrial economics and technology management before making the switch to video game influencing. Now as one of the world’s most prolific gamers, he brings attention to some of the less popular indie games and gives himself a unique name by his video game diversity.

3. 5-Minute Crafts

5-Minute Crafts has its mission in the name, crafts and original things you can create in 5 minutes or less. The company was founded in 2016 by Pavel Radaev and Marat Mukhametov, a Russian based duo with extensive experience in social media content. Pavel and Marat always desired to pursue their own social media outlet and found their chance with an opening in the Do It Yourself market. This kid-friendly and energetic channel provides all sorts of fun DIY creations and life hacks to help you cut those pesky trips out from the store or save a little cash.

4. CoCoMelon Nursery Rhymes

CoCoMelon is the most popular modern nursery rhyme producer in the world. CoCoMelon focuses on 3D cartoon music videos to accompany the Rhymes and teach children a message of Love and positivity. Originally called ABCkidTV, CocoMelon started in 2006 and produced their hit Rhyme “Alphabet Song,” which brought them to the forefront of child entertainment. Since that time, they have released thousands of songs and videos all speaking a message in an adorable and fun fashion for kids and parents to enjoy.

5. SET India

Sony Entertainment Television of India holds our sixth spot with a commanding 54 million subscribers. Started in 1995, SET India is the most popular Hindi TV Channel in India and features a series of mini-shows and movies that attract great attention in the market. SET India is the hub for upcoming shows and people who want to make it on the big screen. From comedies to talk shows and romances, SET India provides a wide variety of quality content to its watchers.

6. Canal KondZilla

KondZilla is a Brazilian native screenwriter and director. He is the Founder of KondZilla records, a music video production company and record label that is wildly popular in the Brazilian market. Konrad Dantas was born in Sao Paulo and worked as a web designer for the local university. After a few months of working a desk job, he sold his belongings to buy a camera and pursue his passion for video production. Now he is a business professional making music videos for the most popular artists in South America.

7. WWE

WWE has been the uncontested champion of show wrestling since its creation. The YouTube channel features promotions, behind the scenes, takes, and highlights of the recent matches. WWE has a massive fan base and has been home to some of the most famous icons such as Hulk Hogan and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, both of whom went on to have extremely successful careers. The content on the channel is much like TV: tight costumes, undead wrestlers, and masked men getting rowdy in the ring.

8. Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber has been around the music and video industry since he was a young boy who was discovered by a record label singing on the side of a Canadian Street. Now he is one of the most recognizable names in music and has utilized his YouTube channel to promote his Tours, music videos, and newly released songs. Biebs is unique in that we have had a front-row seat to his growth into a man. Lucky for us, the YouTube channel was created in 2009, so we can see still those classic videos of Bieber with the long flowing hair strumming his guitar.

9. Dude Perfect

The five-man Team of Dude Perfect came together at Texas A&M University and began to do trick shot videos. Now ten years later, they have become the single largest trick shot group in the world and hold multiple Guinness World Records. All of Dude Perfect is featured on their YouTube channel, where you will find some of the world’s most famous athletes pulling off insane trick shots with the boys. These guys are infectious to watch, as they make trick shots that make you think “How?!” Their positive attitudes and bold personalities have led them to fame as they continue their growth as a channel.

10. Zee Music Company

Zee Music Company is an Indian music company that is based in New Delhi. Zee Music focuses on the extremely popular Bollywood music and film industry where it brings culturally traditional and exciting indie-pop music. The company was started in 2014 by Punit Geonka, who is the owner of Zee Entertainment Enterprises, the parent company of the extremely popular Zee Music Company. Now pursuing deals with Fox Star Studios, Excel Entertainment, and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Zee Music Company is in the fight against T-Series to become the top content provider in the Bollywood industry.

11. Badabun

Badabun is a Spanish entertainment network channel that is run by the BadaBun Network and is the most subscribed YouTube channel in Mexico. The channel is best known for its “Exponiendo Infieles” series, which tests the faithfulness of couples by going through each of the partner’s phones and asking probing questions. It is all voluntary and has made for some very awkward situations, but is sometimes very entertaining. The channel features multiple mini-series, from saving dogs to game shows and everything in between, to be Mexico’s one-stop-shop for entertainment television.

Chilean YouTube star and comedian German Garmendia comes in our number 13 spot with 39 million subscribers. Starting in 2011, HolaSoyGerman found his audience as a Spanish speaking comedian. His rambunctious personality and speedy comedy lit up the YouTube stage. In 2015 he won two Diamond Play Button awards from YouTube for his channels reaching a total of 57 million subscribers. HolaSoyGerman electrifies with his upbeat humor and genuine personality.

14. Eminem Music

  • 42.1m subscribers

Formally known as Marshall Mathers, Eminem is an America rapper, record producer, film producer, and actor. Best known for his lyrical genius and angry style of rap, Eminem was a catalyst in the Rap industry in the early 2000s. Dubbed the King of Hip-Hop by Rolling Stone magazine, Eminem has gone on to win Grammy Awards for his roles in some of the most infamous rap albums such as Dr. Dre’s Aftermath. After his features on infamous albums, he went to release Encore in 2004 which is an album that has defied the test of time. His status in the Rap industry is solidified as one of the greatest of all time which is why his YouTube channel has some for the highest follower counts of all time.

15. Marshmello

Christopher Comstock is an EDM producer and DJ who has dominated the electronic music scene in the past five years. Marshmello’s facial identity is relatively unknown as he wears a marsh mellow style helmet which is his signature performing style. Marshmello was signed by Interscope records where he has worked with countless famous artists such as Khalid and Halsey. His most famous song, “Silence” with Khalid was certified platinum and went multi-platinum in eight different countries. Marshmello is one of the highest-selling artists in the music industry today and his style is truly iconic in the electronic music world.

2018 was a huge year for YouTube as it continues to grow with its international use and the content creators that define it. Pewdiepie remains on top but not for long as T-series is quickly closing the gap. From 2017 to 2018 we have seen a big shift in the focus of YouTube channels and this list gives you a better idea of how it is changing. Here is our top five list for most subscribed YouTube channels of 2018!
