Supernova creators are individuals with over 10 million followers on a particular social media platform. These content creators constitute the most followed people in the world.

Breaking Down The Data

Utilizing our social intelligence capabilities, we identified every Supernova creator across Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Then, we pulled the geographic data on these creators in order to identify how these Supernovas are distributed across the globe.

Through this data, we found that the composition varies by platform. On Instagram, the highest-followed creators are individuals of household fame such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Kim Kardashian. On YouTube, the channels with the most subscribers are either music-related or are run by content creators who found their start on the platform. On TikTok, we see a mix of celebrities and new-age content creators among the platform’s largest Supernovas.

We found that TikTok has the most Supernova creators on its platform, with approximately 1,000 creators having over 10 million followers. Trailing behind TikTok, there are 851 Supernovas on YouTube, and Instagram has the lowest number of Supernovas at 411.

In addition, we found that, across each platform, the majority of Supernova creators are located in the U.S., India, Brazil, Indonesia, and Mexico. There are 718 Supernova creators located in the United States, 306 in India, 262 in Brazil, 159 in Indonesia, and 147 in Mexico.
